H.S. students visit Costa Rica on summer trip and help the local children

FRANKLIN TWP. -- Students, staff, and community members of Delsea Regional High School traveled throughout Costa Rica this past summer on a private tour.

The trip was organized by Delsea Spanish teachers Michele Hill and Heidi Salerno. It gave students the opportunity to experience first-hand the cultures and locations that are taught in the classroom and provided an extension to what they have already learned. The students were also able to give back to the children of Costa Rica by donating much-needed school supplies and visiting a traditional Costa Rican school.

This June, students will travel to Italy and France accompanied by World Language teachers. Plans are now being made for a 2019 trip to the Galapagos Islands in Ecuador. For more information about traveling with this group, please contact Michele Hill 856-694-0100, ext. 359 or email mhill@delsearegional.us
