Draper Taco Bell shut down after Salt Lake health inspectors find no hot water in the restaurant

A Taco Bell franchise in Draper was shut down by the Salt Lake County Health Department on Thursday after inspectors found no hot water in the facility.

The restaurant, 1287 E. Draper Parkway, was cited for “presenting an imminent health hazard,” according to a report on the department website. In all, inspectors found 18 health code violations, three of which were deemed critical to human health.

The restaurant will remain closed until the owners can fix the problems and health officials deem it safe for the public.

Among the most critical violations found:

• No hot water in the facility.

• Utility lines under the front hand sink are not installed above the floor to facilitate cleaning.

• Soda syrup and frozen drink syrup lines are on the floor

• There are personal drinks on food prep surface near the drive-through window.

• Floor, ceiling and walls are dirty.
