Freshii, a restaurant chain offering healthy fast foods, has a new location on Main Street in downtown Royal Oak.
Serving offerings such as wraps, burritos, salads and soups, the new franchise at 304 S. Main is owned by Tina Franceschina.
The ‘Royal Oak community felt like the perfect place to grow the Freshii brand because of the health-conscious and active people who live, work and play here,’ she said in a news release.
Marketed as a fast casual restaurant, Freshii was founded in 2005 and now has more than 100 locations in the U.S., Canada, Europe, South America and United Arab Emirates.
Downtown Manager Sean Kammer said new restaurant owners see the city as a good place to open their businesses.
‘I really think our community should do more to highlight its strong culinary arts foundation, and Freshii does just that,’ he said in a new release about the restaurant.
