The Gazette reports that a Billings man has pleaded guilty to a methamphetamine distribution charge after he was caught with more than six pounds of meth in March. 50-year-old Gregory Kilwein pleaded guilty on Friday in U.S. District Court to one count of possession with intent to distribute more than 500 grams of meth, while appearing before Judge Susan Watters. There is reportedly no plea deal in the case. On March 1st, a Billings police officer saw Kilwein riding his bike on a downtown sidewalk and “acting suspiciously” and subsequently attempting to avoid the officer. Court documents state that after the officer pulled into an alley, Kilwein dropped his bike and ran, throwing a bag of drugs. He was arrested, and heard telling his family by phone to clean out his apartment, where additional drugs and cash were found.
