The Horse Nations Indian Relay Council has announced that Billings is no longer the site of the Indian relay circuit championship. The Council ran the event last year under a one-year contract with MetraPark, but decided that it’s moving the show to Washington. In 2015, the Indian relay circuit championship came to Billings under the management of the Professional Indian Horse Racing Association. Billings Gazette's Matt Hudson reports the fast-paced event brought about two dozen Native American teams from across the country to compete. Montana tribes factored heavily into the competition as well. Leading into the 2015 championship, Crow and Blackfeet teams populated the top seven rankings in the country.
