Watch: Scrub fire rages near Auckland Airport, KFC

November 21, 2017

Scrub fires broke out near Auckland Airport and a KFC outlet in the area this afternoon.

The Fire Service confirmed to 1 NEWS that there was one fire outside KFC and one separately on the motorway going north from the airport.

Phone video provided to 1 NEWS shows flames leaping close to traffic on the road.

Both fires are now under control, a spokesperson said.
