A “belligerent and aggressive” woman was arrested early Wednesday after she allegedly pulled a knife on a taxi driver and threatened to kill him.

The driver called Brandon police at approximately 2 a.m., reporting that he was running away from his customer. When officers attended, they learned the woman hired the cab and became belligerent when the driver refused to buy fast food for the suspect.

The victim also reported that when the suspect could not catch him, she returned to the cab and cut some wiring inside the vehicle.

A 20-year-old woman was taken into custody on charges of assault with a weapon, mischief to property, carrying a concealed weapon and breach of a court order. She was to appear in court on Wednesday. The victim was not injured in the incident.
