The application to Wyre Borough Council, which appeared on the council's website after one for the signs due to a validation error, would see a two-storey eat-in and drive -thru restaurant built near the existing petrol, station on the site, and close to Osborne Avenue.
It would have a children’s play frame and would create up to 65 jobs. Some existing trees would be removed but McDonald’s says in the application noise smells and litter would be kept to a minimum.
Neighbours have also objected to plans for illuminated signs which they say would shine into their homes at night and also disturb local wildlife.
Cleveleys MP Paul Maynard has said he would be concerned about the effects on traffic along with disturbance to neighbours.
