Whether you're using your Bank Holiday Monday to rejuvenate, or going all out with the celebrations, a lot of us are set to tuck into a takeaway over the extra long weekend.

But with UK supermarkets and shops operating at different hours compared to normal due to the bonus day off work, many Brits are probably wondering whether their favourite fast food chain will also be closing early.

We've listed out the takeaway Bank Holiday Monday times for the top UK fast food chains this August, to help you decipher whether it's worth venturing out or not.

Obviously, local takeaways will have their own set hours, so you will need to check with them directly, although a good way to work it out is by checking to see whether they're open on food delivery services like Just Eat.

Restaurants stop taking orders on Just Eat just before close, so if you can't see the place you want still serving, it's probably best to look elsewhere for some food.

We've listed out all the main restaurant chains below that will still be serving food over August Bank Holiday Monday.

McDonald's

Standard McDonald's hours vary, but typically range between 5am and 7am in the morning and 10pm and midnight at closing.

However, there's also lots of 24 hours McDonald's that just have a drive thru. You can check your local on the McDonald's website here , or get it delivered thanks to Uber Eats.

Greggs

You can't go wrong with a Greggs

Greggs famously open early and close after lunch, with most stores shut by 5-7pm.

Naturally though, timings vary store by store, so it's well worth checking your local online first, or check to see whether you can get it delivered instead, as it's now on both Just Eat and Deliveroo.

Domino's

Whilst most Domino's that aren't in major cities or catering for university students shut at around 11pm - midnight, other stores that supply pizza to university students or late-night city folk can stay open until 4 - 5am, although mostly for delivery only. Madness.

Pizza Hut

You can expect most stores to stay open until around 11pm, but after that, it's easier than most brands to check as all you need to do is enter your postcode on their website and they'll tell you whether they're still delivering. Finger's crossed...

Burger King

What's your Burger King order?

Most Burger Kings stay open until around 11pm - even on Sundays.

While Burger King does note that its hours might differ over the summer Bank Holiday, it shouldn't be anything too drastic.

Burger King is also available on Deliveroo, so if you aren't sure, you could also see whether they're still serving on there.

KFC

Just like Burger King, KFC also stays open until around 11pm most nights, and is also available on Just Eat if you want to check there first.

Papa Johns

Just like Pizza Hut and Domino's, your best bet is to first check the Papa Johns website, and type in your postcode.

Just Eat

Just Eat is available 24 hours a day, and you can use their online search tool to select only restaurants that are open now if you can't find many that aren't closed. Although don't expect to get many five star suggestions...

We'll never say no to some fried chicken

Uber Eats

Just like Just Eat, Uber Eats is available at all hours of the day - providing there's a restaurant near you that will deliver.

Deliveroo

Open all hours of the day, depending on your area. If you're a new member to cashback site Quidco you can get £10 free on your first order by signing up and ordering via this link.
