Brits know the McDonald's menu like the back of their hands - and we all have our favourites.

But have you every stopped to think about the menu items you've been missing out on?

As the world's leading fast food chain, McDonald's has restaurants in hundreds of cities across the globe.

In fact, out of the world's 195 countries, McDonald's has a restaurant in 118 - that's 60.5 per cent.

Though McDonald's primarily sells the American fast food staple of burgers and fries - there are several menu variations on offer depending on which country you're ordering in.

In Canada, for example, you can pick up a box of poutine - chips, cheese curds and gravy.

Over in Hong Kong, a popular breakfast item is Twisty Pasta, served with toppings including egg and sausage.

And from McDonald's in India, new items introduced to the menu recently include the Green Chilli McAloo Naan and the Chicken Kebab Wrap.

Here's what's on offer from on McDonald's menus in Brazil, Canada, Dubai, Egypt, Finland, Hong Kong, Hungary, India, Japan, Mexico, the Philippines, Poland, South Africa, Slovenia and Vietnam.

McDonald's Brazil

In Brazil, you can get your hands on a McPicanha - a burger made from picanha meat (a cut of beef popular in the country) with picanha sauce, breaded cheese, tomato, leaf mix and crispy onion on sesame seed bread.

McDonald's restaurants that sell beer

In Spain, diners can enjoy a nice, cold glass of Mahou beer - with a non-alcoholic version also available.

Customers of McDonald's in Belgium are able to order Jupiler, which the restaurant describe as 'the number one beer' in 'the land of beers'.

You can get Pilsner Urquell from McDonald's Czech Republic for just 39 CZK (approximately £1.30).

And Sagres is available from McDonald's in Portugal.

On the FAQ page of McDonald's main website, some customers asked why UK restaurants don't sell beer like other European countries.

McDonald's replied: "Although a number of European McDonald's markets serve alcoholic beverages as part of their menu, it's not something that fits with the family-friendly focus of our restaurants in the U.K.

"There also isn't huge customer demand for it."
