We now know the identity of both teens who drowned after jumping from a bridge while evading police in Loudon County last week.
The family of Mykel Anderson posted a GoFundMe to raise funds for a memorial ceremony.
The search has now turned from a rescue to a recovery, says Davis.
"We are asking out of the kindness of our hearts for donations for Mykel as we prepare to lay him to rest," says sister Ariel Haddock. "We really appreciate all the support during this time."
The bodies of both Ma'Rico Johnson and Anderson were recovered after days of searching.
Family and friends gathered at Tennessee River Park over the weekend to honor the life of 18-year-old Ma’Rico Johnson, one of two teens who tragically lost their lives after jumping from a bridge over the Tennessee River in Loudon County last Wednesday.
Johnson's mother also posted a GoFundMe to help pay for funeral expenses.
A third teen was hospitalized and questioned about the incident.
He told deputies that they all jumped over the bridge's barrier thinking it would lead to the opposite side of the interstate.
Instead, they fell into a gap between two sides of the bridges, 80 feet down into the river.
