The limited edition Emirati burger sold by Burger King raised more than Dh188,000 for Dubai Cares to support its efforts aimed at improving children and young people’s access to quality education in developing countries.

The global hamburger fast food giant launched the Emirati eye-catching burger campaign for a limited period last year during the Year of Giving. The striking green, white and black burger was sold wrapped in a red sleeve to reflect the colours of the Emirati flag. And for the first time in the brand’s history, the Burger King logo was also changed to reflect the same familiar national colours.

Tariq Al Gurg, CEO of Dubai Cares, lauded the enthusiasm shown by the UAE community for the Emirati burger and the creative thinking of Burger King as to how a “commonplace product can capture the attention of consumers in support of a worthwhile cause …”
