Popular Chelsea greengrocer Andreas Georghiou is joining forces with Michelin-starred chef Phil Howard for a special dinner event on August 7 to celebrate the shop’s 25th anniversary.

Georghiou has supplied the likes of Nigella Lawson and the Rolling Stones with their weekly fruit and veg, as well as leading London restaurants including the River Cafe and Petersham Nurseries.

The Chelsea shop will provide the ingredients for the seven course vegetarian dinner menu, which will take place at Howard's restaurant Elystan Street.

Guests can expect a celeriac slaw with lovage and apple to start, followed by burrata with Provence black figs, Cappezzana olive oil and a salad with artichokes, white corn and porcini.

This will be followed by slow roasted Reine tomatoes with cocoa beans, courgettes, Scottish girolles and wild leaves, followed by a almond tart and cherries for pudding.

Guests can also opt for a wine pairing with each course, for an additional £45.

Howard said, “Our Elystan Street neighbour Andreas has fruit and vegetables of unrivalled quality in London, so we devised a menu packed with the very best produce, cooked simply and with bundles of love.

"We are keeping it vegetarian because we just felt it was right to do so – the produce speaks for itself.”
